The Korea Industry 4.0 (KI4.0) is a non-profit organization established in 2015 and registered with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) to promote industrial digital transformation (IDX) in Korea. The Association brings together industry, research institutions, and government agencies to develop and validate global use cases through testbeds and standards-based interoperability frameworks, focusing on smart manufacturing, digital twins, and AI-driven innovation. KI4.0 has established formal partnerships with organizations such as the Digital Twin Consortium and VDMA, and actively engages with organizations and ecosystems including the OPC Foundation and Catena-X, supporting Korean companies in scaling into global markets.
